Schizophrenia and A Beautiful Mind

John is maladaptive because he is not good in social situations, instead of becoming social he adapted poorly by creating an imaginary friend.
John is unjustifiable because from the perspective of others he is talking to himself and acting strangely like someone is there, but there is no actually no one there.
John is disturbing because when he was having illusions he thought the his baby was safe, when his baby was actually in the bathtub and near death from drowning.
John is atypical because people don't normally have illusions, especially illusions that are so real they are unable to be distinguished from reality.
